Fat Tire Challenge
I am ready for this race NEXT YEAR. I was a whining little wimp by the time I finished this year. What a hard course. Not a lot of big climbs, but it was just one technical section after another, without much real flow to the trail.
Any thoughts from anyone else?

Next year I have got to get a full suspension race bike for this one. It is one BRUTAL, technical race loop!! Keith and I were a bust. Good thing the NAMBA girls and our Clydesdale were there to redeem us! Great job Cathy, Tess, Samantha and Rob!

Technical flow
Cathy and I rode this course again yesterday, just for some practice. I still feel as though the technical sections of this course have ZERO flow to them. Its like one extreme to the next for most average riders. Miles of fireroad, overcompensated for with sections of rock that are impossible to ride. You would have to ride those sections constantly to find any sort of line to follow.

Did either of you clear the monster rock garden at the end?

Re: Fat Tire Challenge
nope, but we only gave it one try. She made it further with the 29er, than I could on the stumpy.
We are planning to go back down and only ride that side, so that we can goof around more in the technical sections. Any interest in going?

Heck yea! I'd love a shot at that rock garden with the Heckler.
