AOC Tanbark Trailwork

Post by Mike Z. on Fri Apr 25, 2008 4:19 pm

Here are the bike-offensive trees I marked Thursday.
They are all labeled 'lap' except for one that Keith specifically didn't like, and which for some reason didn't 'take' when I marked it so I manually added the stickpin.

There are actually alot more trees down on the NCT leading from Dunham siding towards Minister Creek, so they are going to send a crew with a chainsaw down that way.

Much thanks to those who where able to help out the AOC last Sunday. Brad said things went pretty well. I personally feel some guilt for screwing up my week-end and not being able to be there.
I hope we will be able to assist them again in the future.

Andy, Amber, Michelle (my wife) and I worked on the North Country Trail with some very nice people from the AOC. Mike Z. went with some others on the Tanbark trail. It was a great day to be in the woods and we all had a good time. The trail work was very organized and went smoothly. Our thanks to the AOC for the privilege of working with them. Hopefully Namba can participate the next time as well.

The trail work day went very well. I really felt a great deal of pride to be out there helping. Thanks to those who showed up to pitch in and I hope next time everyone's schedual allows them to be there as well. We did missed those who could not make it. We also had a great time finding new lines as we walked the trail. I can't wait top ride with everyone again. We are also thankfull for the new freindships we are building within the AOC.
